Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent six weeks driving across America one summer writing about the 2006 elections. Mostly my friend and i couchsurfed with our friends and family, but one night i ended up at a house party in asheville. since my cousin and his wife had two dogs and a light-sleeping infant, i found myself somewhat at a loss... until the hosts offered me their couch for the night. since then, i've been waiting for this site to find me.

i can fake my way through an impressive or disturbing number (depending on one's perspective) of mid to late 90s american pop radio hits on guitar. I knit poorly, but know a pretty fair amount about contemporary American politics. And as much as I am a political nerd, I'm also a popular culture one. I once built a ship in a bottle, but until i build another without aid of kit or directions I won't consider it a skill.
