ABOUT ME

Grew up in Darmstadt Germany, where my father was the managing editor of Stars and Stripes newspaper. I have a son in Iraq, one in the Coast Guard, and one headed to Ranger School. One left at home. We raise horses on a small piece of land and are looking forward to showing guests around. We live on the outskirts of the Cold Harbor Battlefield and are surrounded by history.

PHILOSOPHY

My children are open, tolerant and eager to see what people from all over the world are like, our commonality, our differences, to walk in their shoes for a day. What a gift you will be giving us !!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We would love to host someone for a weekend, or overnight, fix a great meal, and try to cram as much life as possible into their time with us. My neighbors do rodeo, and would also love to show people what calf roping is all about.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show someone a day at the racetrack, a ride in a 1976 Corvette, they can stand in the Church that George and Martha Washington were married in (St Peter's Parish), walk through Cold Harbor Battlefield, walk on the beach in Virginia Beach, tour some Civil War museums in Richmond, the battlefields in Yorktown, tour Williamsburg, maybe go to King's Dominion waterpark...you tell me !
