ABOUT ME

I am an extremely open person. I am willing to try anything once (as long as it doesn't involve hurting anyone). I love all animals in all shapes and sizes. I have two cats who are pretty much my daughters and I love having a good time and getting to know lots of different types of people! I am very easy to get along with :) People say that I smile too much :D

PHILOSOPHY

I am a strong believer in honesty and in being who you are. When studying drama, I met A LOT of people who were very fake and they had no idea who they really were because of the constant "acting". I love the phrase "there are no bad or good people, but just people". Living by this allows you to know your strengths but also know your weaknesses and to accept every part of yourself (good and bad). It also makes you less judgmental and gives you greater perspective!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have stayed on plenty of friends couches in my time and I have certainly had a lot of friends to stay with me since I moved abroad!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I discovered couchsurfing on a trip to America in 2011. My sister is a surfer and I tagged along; put it this way, we had such a good time with our hosts that I rushed back here to set up my profile! I thought that maybe we were just lucky, but since I got back I have spoken with people who are hosts in Hong Kong and I have yet to meet anyone who has anything bad to say about it, so sign me up! :)

Interests

I enjoy anything to do with art. I am trained in acting but I can also paint, sing and write songs. I am really into making movies and video editing as this is part of what I teach in Hong Kong! I love eating! In Hong Kong there is so much food available, even though I am a vegan, I can find lots of places to eat! YUM!

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE horror movies so I would appreciate any surfer who has a taste for that :) I don't think I have read a book since I was in Primary School, I just don't like reading. As for music, I have pretty much every type on my ipod. I tend to like songs, not artists, so one hit wonders are all good in my book :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going on Safari in Africa was pretty amazing but there have been a few "none travelling" things too :)

Teach, Learn, Share

As I said earlier, anything to do with art (the practical side). I am actually a drama teacher, actor and song writer! Always up for Karaoke! :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know Hong Kong very well and I can take you to some places that might not be advertised on the tourist websites. I can also introduce you to some awesome vegan restaurants!
