Currently living in Senegal. After several years living in Africa and Europe, I have been thoroughly bitten by the travel bug and am always ready to explore a new area, meeting friends and understanding a new culture in the process.

Still working this out.... Right now, it involves learning as much as I can about anything and anyone that presents itself!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

my first 'surfing' December 2008 (lots of fun), surfed sporadically since then (Austria, France, and New Guinea), meet visitors occasionally for coffee, and plan to return the couch-favours once I have a couch of my own again!

Interests

The outdoors: skiing, hiking, biking, camping, climbing and long-distance running.
Cooking and baking, chocolate, ice cream, languages, music (in particular: folk/singer-songwriter, classical and musical theater), dance.
Non-smoker, not a huge partier, though I love dinner parties and casual get-togethers that turn into all-night conversations.
The environment, development and global health; talking politics and ideas.
