About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy the width of my journey and not just its length ;)

ABOUT ME

I am currently a student working on my Phd in Spanish Literature and teach Spanish University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. I just spent 3 years living in Costa Rica and after that 6 months in New Zealand. I lived in LA for 6 years where I still have many friends and learned how to surf, the love of my life. ;)

I grew up in Germany and have a German passport, so I'm pretty much a schizophrenic citizen of the world, seeing that everywhere is home.

PHILOSOPHY

Love is all you need ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couchsurfing, but have heard so many amazing things about it from friends that I really want to try it out this summer while traveling around Europe for a bit. I just feel a little too old and tired for hostels and would rather meet amazing people with similar interests and make great connections. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had 1 couchsurfing experience so far and it was great.

Interests

surfing, painting, learning new languages, embroidery, discovering new music, meeting new people and having amazing adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love pretty much all music, but this is what I am currently obsessed with: Feist, Bon Iver, Mavado, Led Zeppelin, Tupac, Radiohead, Tool, City & Colour, The Beautiful Girls, Young the Giant, XX, Morgan Heritage, Jimmy Cliff...

Books: Shantaram, House of Spirits, Dharma Bums...so many more but I only get to read for school right now

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing that I have done is hike a live volcano in Guatemala and get very, very close to the main lava flow. I have also gotten stuck overnight on a local Peruvian bus in a major snowstorm on my way to Machu Picchu and then hiked for 3 hours in the snow in my converse. Epic!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my linguistic abilities, my knowledge runs from how to make things, from arts and crafts to building basic stuff...

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand
