Quisiera ver muchas cosas en sudamerica,, pero lo que mas importante quisiera conocer la gente y entender la cultura.

ABOUT ME

Hola! Me llamo Shannon y yo tengo 31 años. Vivía en Vancouver por 8 años con una gata. Era enfermera de urgencias en el hospital pero yo estaba cansada y nececitaba un pausito. Entonces yo lo terminé y vine a sudamerica. Me gusta viajar a nuevos lugares, especialmente en el bosque y las montanas. Me encanta estar afuera, acampar y caminar.

Quiero encontrar la gente en sudamerica. Si tu tienes una cama para mi, me encanta mucho. Puedo cocinar algo. Mi favorita comida es desayunos con cafe.

English is my first language but I am eager to spend as much time as possible speaking Spanish and immersing in the culture. As an overstimulated and burnt out emerg nurse (who has quit!) my goal is to relax for as long as possible in the continent of South America.

PHILOSOPHY

I love how when plans fall apart, help comes from the most unexpected places... whether it's the Japanese family at the Manila airport, an arrow sticking out of the dirt on a mountain range, or someone at a gas station in a rural part of the Philippines in the middle of the night (!). Overcoming fear of the unknown opens up a world of possibilities, and people are often far friendlier than I expect.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Antes yo uní couchsurfing, dos veces yo he me quedado con extraños al lado de mi en vuelos.. ahora, por 2 años yo les daba mi sofa en Vancouver a algunos couchsurfers. Era un buen experiencia. A veces, yo tenía mi huésped afuera y caminar por senderos en las montanas o beber una cervesa en el centro..

I haven't done much couchsurfing myself, but twice I've stayed with people I've sat beside on planes.

Over the last two years I've hosted a number of surfers in Vancouver. I've loved meeting other travelers in my own living room. Sometimes I could take them out on a hike or for a beer its always been a great experience and a reminder of the wonderful things travel has to offer.

兴趣

trabajar en el jardin, leer libros, montar mi bicicletta, caminar en el bosque, nadar en la piscina, y reparar todo lo que es roto, jugar dodgebol, cocinar cena. encontrar nuevos personas y entender mas de la cultura.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

that time that we got off the bus in luang prabang at 4am..walked into town with some other stragglers.. 7km with our backpacks.. rather than getting a hotel at that hour we stayed up, played jenga..drank warm beer lao and watched the sun come up.
