About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To broaden my mind, to learn from other people

ABOUT ME

My name is Julia. I'm a 25 years old student. Having German roots, I'm grown up mostly in Switzerland where I returned after a very inspring exchange year in Berlin. At the moment I live in a small village near Zurich. Currently I'm just finishing my studies in German literature and art history at the University of Zurich and I'm working as a part-time journalist for a Swiss daily newspaper and for some Blogs dealing with theater and performance art.

PHILOSOPHY

Never regret what you have done in your life. Stay optimistic and rely on your intuition. I love a life full of extremes: I'm always organized on one hand, but always open for new experiences and surprises. You will find me always somehow in the middle of it, always exploring new areas and aspects.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Concerning Couch Surfing I don‘t have so many experiences yet to offer. I discovered this wonderful way of travelling last year in Italy and I'm looking forward of couchsurfing this summer!

Interests

I'm organising cultural events (lectures, concerts) with my friends, I'm writing for newspapers and love to go out and get involved with other peoples ideas, motivations. I'm a huge fan of art museums and I love sports (escpecially jogging, volley ball, swimming).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most touching moments of my life have always been the quiet ones. That kind of moments that come not so easely and show you much of more of meaning of life than al the noisy and spectacular events that may occur. These moments are worth living for.

Teach, Learn, Share

You can have with me any discussions about life, especially about the arts and literature, but also about my personal views about life. If you like to know some German or Swissgerman I can teach you.

Countries I’ve Visited
