Présentation
À propos de moi
Hi! I'm Stephan and I'm about to finish my Master's degree in Computer Science.
I'm a simple and open-minded person and don't require much to enjoy myself. I like walking around to get to know the places I'm visiting and having conversations about life, books, music and movies.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
When the time comes, I'm planning on traveling the world indefinitely. I've always enjoyed getting around and meeting new people from different cultures. I appreciate how people can be so different, and all the things we can learn from meeting them.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Some good old rock'n roll tunes, blues, jazz and classical music.
Hermann Hesse and Jack London are two of my favorite authors. I like reading about a lot of topics, including novels, philosophy, science fiction, travel... I also have a fascination for Japanese literature, be it old or contemporary, authors like Soseki, Kawabata, Tanizaki, Murakami...
As far as movies go, I can also appreciate a variety of genres. Blade Runner is a favorite for its story and philosophical implications, Into the Wild rocked my world as no other movie had ever done before, and the Human Condition (Japanese fascination strikes again...) trilogy is one of the most valuable and moving History lessons I have ever seen.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I made it to the top of Sulfur Mountain in Banff National Park by foot in mid-Winter! (Gondola's no fun!)
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I have great ease and interest in learning new languages and skills, and I believe that passing our knowledge along is one of the best gifts we can offer.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
I'm fluent in Portuguese and English, so I can help with teaching and practicing both these languages.
I'm used to cooking for myself as I avoid eating out, not only because it saves money, but because it's also healthier. So I can prep an asian-style (that's what I'm used to cooking) meal and share a few recipes I have up my sleeve. I usually cook vegetarian food because it's cleaner and more healthy, but I don't have a hard restriction on that.
