Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started couchsurfing when I was studying in the US, and that was a great experience ! I only met nice people there. I even had the chance to host one of my californian host 4 years later, while I was living in Paris, which shows that even if you only spend a few days with the people you meet, those relationships last.

Interests

"Classical" interests include sport, music, reading, and photography. I like programming too, that's how I make a living at the moment. And I've always been interested in understanding human behavior, which is why I spent three years doing a PhD in evolutionary psychology. I'm also very involved in science popularization in general, online and offline.

Music, Movies, and Books

My adolescence was all about pop and rock music (Oasis, Muse, Noir Desir, The Beatles, Bloc Party...), but now I enjoy more and more jazz music (New Orleans style with Duke Ellington, Sydney Bechet or manouche style, Django Reinhardt, Bireli Lagrene...), and I'm discovering the virtues of electro music too... I play a little bit of guitar.

Books : mainly french post-war authors, including Vian, Queneau, Sartre... Céline is another of my favorite writer.
