About Me
Who am I? What a difficult question to answer… I have already back spaced four times trying to describe who I am. It is too easy to state the simple facts: twenty three, brown eyes, female, Australian, currently living in Italy… But who am “I”? I like to think I am a fun and caring person. Extremely independent. Social but also very much appreciate my alone time. I prefer animals to people. I am not afraid to speak my mind. Respectful. I love to make people laugh, even at my own expense. I love to eat. Beer is life. I love to travel and experience the world. I fear not living a full and rich life.
Last year I spent 5 weeks in Bali, Indonesia traveling and volunteering. When my time was coming to an end, a volcano erupted meaning my flight was delayed for a few days. I was stoked. At this moment I realised what I wanted to do. I wanted to keep traveling and experiencing this beautiful world that we live in.
I took the advice from a new friend who suggested I look into being an Au Pair. I signed up to the website and began chatting to families in Europe. I particulary formed a connection with a family from Milan, who had one daughter. We skype and next thing I knew I had quite my successful corporate job in Melbourne and booked a one way ticket to Milan.
I had one month to pack my bags, say goodbye to my friends and save as much money as I could.
I arrived in Milan at the end of January and have honestly feel so blessed and grateful. I spend my weekends traveling through Italy and other countries in Europe. During the week I am learning the Italian culture and experiencing a new way of life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year I volunteered teaching English to school children in Ubud, Indonesia. The experience has really made me appreciate my life and how lucky and fortunate I am. I got an insight into how another culture lives and the struggles and hardships they face. I have made life long friends and honestly believe they taught me more, than I taught them.
