Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and to establish a network of friends all across the world! Also, to get to truly experience the places where I am traveling, meet the people, eat the food, participate in their customs!

Interests

Hiking, scuba diving, caving, reading, eating local fruits I have never heard of (just eating new local foods in general), exploring new places, history and architecture, along with many more things...like art, pottery, music etc! Above all else....learning! Anything and everything I can! Adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books

Local music, I love hearing new sounds and rhythms. Otherwise pretty much anything I can sing along to without screaming too much.

Movies: I love thrillers like the Bone Collector and epic dramas. I enjoy Mel Brooks and Monty Python, pretty much love anything as long as it is relatively historically accurate (if it is supposed to be) and no over the top rom coms.

Books: mostly historical fictions like the works of Phillipa Gregory. I also enjoy a lot of classic literature and read Chaucer for fun. I do enjoy some more current books, like Ready Player One.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked through western China along the Silk Road.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: English, history, some American Classic dishes along with some Czech and Austrian favorites I learned from my grandparents.

Learn: as much as possible! Improve my Spanish and learn a little bit of any other languages I hear on my travels! How to cook something local, a local dance?, anything and everything I can!

Share: I have travelled lots of places and done many different types of traveling, from education to leisure to work. I have many stories and experiences to share, along with a love for life, exploration and adventure.
