About Me

I'm interested in visiting and learning about the United States
And meeting folks to get in depth and personal snapshot of the areas I'm visiting

I love being around energetic and proactive people, who genuinely want to espouse where they live, what they do for fun and share their stories. I like reading all sorts of books, magazines, and journals. I am on a sojourn, leaning towards the Peace Corps. Not sure yet. I'll decide when I finish my Master of Arts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am traveling quite a bit and like meeting a variety of people.
I am in grad school, looking for a thesis to begin my Ph.D, which will be a bit down the road yet. There are tons of things to focus my attention and I am looking forward to expanding on my goals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Comment on only one amazing thing?! I can't!

Visited South Carolina Safari, unique and so worth the bucks spent. It was truly unique and fun way to learn about the big cats and the people who care for them. The animals and the crew were so much fun to enjoy. I highly recommend visiting

Then, there's Alaska. Simply breathtaking, majestic and vast. I left my heart in Fairbanks, Seward, Anchorage, and Homer. Denali Park was and is a sight to behold, perfect for all the senses. The scenery, the people, the community and the awe of Alaska... can you tell I am in love? Visit. You won't regret visiting Alaska.

To my surprise, Pittsburgh, PA was fun to visit! The area is quirky, upbeat, and it does have a blue collar feel to it, and yet, it is a thriving community. I had the most delicious scallops appetizer at Vue 412 restaurant, which over-looks the three rivers point. It was wonderful to visit someplace I'd never had on my bucket list!

Teach, Learn, Share

To really get to know the area, visit Toastmasters Club. Folks are so welcoming and love to share their ideas and often have fabulous suggestions on how to explore

Next up for me is grad school. A trip to Italy. More Toastmasters meetings.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am learning to listen, to appreciate and to laugh. I'd love to laugh with you and to share my travels and experiences with you.
