Overview
About Me
I am spending the rest of 2016 as an exchange student in Copenhagen from UC Riverside. I will be studying cultural Anthropology and more than anything I am excited to be studying the field outside of the United States.
I am a first generation Mexican American, the first in my family to go to college, and the first to travel outside of North and Central America to do it. I am so ready to be able to explore this corner of the planet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to couch surf because this is a unique opportunity to learn all about the cultures I'm visiting. For example, while at the University of Copenhagen I will be taking a class on Danish culture but it's just not going to be insightful as something like this.
Interests

Music, Movies, and Books
I love television, right now I am watching Bob's Burgers, Mr. Robot, and rewatching Gilmore Girls for the upcoming revival.
I have been listening to Major Lazer nonstop, especially after finding out about the cartoon. I love Sia, Bon Iver, and regional Mexican music.
Unfortunately I don't read as much as I used to because school has turned my brain into mush, but once upon a time I loved Christopher Moore, Tom Robbins, and the whole genre of women that don't have their shit together but still make it through.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Crawled through lava tubes on the big island in Hawaii with people that are now my best friends.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Spanish! I'd love to learn your language and any detail you care to share about your culture. No matter how small. I'm very good at sharing, what do you want/need?
What I Can Share with Hosts
More than anything, I hope that I can share my excitement for traveling with my host. I am thoughtful, considerate, and 9/10 I can read room and respond accordingly.
