About Me

I have an ancestor who was a notorious Chinese politician of the Ming Dynasty.
My first name means score in Mandarin so I am particularly popular before tests or at sport games.
I kept a red-eared slider as a pet for eight years; we used to sunbathe together.
In junior high school I joined the wrestling club and took part in two competitions: I was the runner-up in the first (two participants including me) and ranked fourth in the other (five participants, one defaulted). I still love sports now. Swimming is my favourite.
Among different question types, I love essay question the most and single choice question the least, which I often think of more than five (A-E) options.
As a so-called bookworm, I love libraries. The library of Trinity College Dublin is my favourite (The Long Room is amazing!)
I can write in various styles: poetry, prose, short story, script, news report, and thesis essay.
I have worked as a service attendant in Yellowstone National Park. I am proud of my 100% success rate of hitchhike and enjoy working with foreign colleagues. I became anxious after returning to the city because I had become accustomed to wild animals.
I am interested in languages and have learnt Mandarin, English, French, and Japanese. Whenever these are not sufficient, I am comfortable using gestures to communicate.
I enjoy 3 C’s – drip Coffee, Cigar and Calligraphy art – all are endowed with a sense of ceremony.
I prefer cooking without recipes. The dishes I make are not typical (maybe it’s fusion) but creative and highly edible.
I usually prepare breakfast, lunch, and supper simultaneously because I enjoy handling multitasks effectively – it brings me excitement and a high sense of achievement.
I enjoy making friends worldwide: from my study in England, part-time work in the States, full-time job in China, and travelling experience in 45+ countries.
My friends regard me an encourager and an expert at analyzing situations and characteristics. They come to me for intellectual, objective, or out-of-this-world opinions.
I love construct and deconstruct. To look things from different perspectives I learnt programming by myself (well for awhile), ate with non-dominant hand and walked willy-nilly (aka “getting lost”) when on vacations – it always brings me surprises and great fun!
I own a single-lens reflex camera; I like to capture human emotions, subtle nuance surroundings, and pulse of a city.
I love traveling and regard it, as life itself, an exciting expedition.
