Overview
About Me
South African with British roots living in the Netherlands. Different in general but pass as pretty normal unless you get to know me well. Friends would describe me as smart, friendly, interesting, strange in a good way. I'm very open minded, very creative, very practical, and learning all the time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I guess for the same reason as most people, I enjoy meeting people and learning about where they are from and gaining a local perspective on a place.
Interests
Just about anything creative. Reading/learning. Sci-fi, board-games, a bit of anime and cosplay. I love a stimulating discussion over small talk any day. Since I've moved to Europe I've become interested in local/European history. I love the outdoors and walking and silence and my cats.

Music, Movies, and Books
Normally combinations of industrial rock, electro, indie, folk and if some classical instruments are in the mix I get excited -Agnes Obel, Johnny Hollow, Emilie Autumn :-D
I generally read to expand my mind in some way but I enjoy things with a bit of poetry and/or a dark edge.
Love studio Ghilbi, sci-fi, certain types of fantasy, dark/psychological crime, Japanese horror.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
"couchsurfed" (on the kitchen floor with mice running round my head) in a traditional village in the Transkei.
Teach, Learn, Share
A multitude of creative skills. I'm happy to share my work space, tools, and knowledge. It's always nice to be inspired by other people's creative energy.
I'd love to learn more about travel in Europe and I can share my knowledge of South Africa and Mozambique. Israel is amazing too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A robust conversation, and inquisitive ear and since I make jewelry, I'll bring along a unique creation as a gift.
