About Me

To drive across America (and be home before December 25!) with a very loose plan. A huge part of that is meeting new people and exploring new places, which is how Couchsurfing became so alluring to us for this trip.

We're positive, laid back, and down to experience new things. We really enjoy learning about a city and it's genuine character. On our stop in Nashville, we ended up talking to people in local record stores that suggested we try out east Nashville. What a good choice. Awesome music, awesome food. I think that's what we've found brings us the most joy: seeing what people are excited about in their city and checking it out.

Daniel is a props master for film/television and just finished working on a Canadian sketch show. I'm a server/bartender, freelance journalist/researcher. We both enjoy photography and live music.

We decided that now is the perfect time to go on a trip across America to learn about new cities, listen to and share music, eat lotsa lotsa food, and meeting people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We like exploring new cities and meeting locals who genuinely care about contributing to the community and culture of a city - or at least enjoy exploring it themselves! Couchsurfing is a great means to meeting new, like-minded people and making those connections - whether at home or abroad - is important to both of us.

I used couch surfing during for the first time during my west coast trip in the summer of 2013. I started in San Diego and made my way up to British Columbia without a plan - just meeting people and going with the flow. It was awesome being able to live like a local. More often than not I stayed with hosts that also had other surfers at the same time and that made it an even better experience.

This is Daniel's first time using Couchsurfing and he absolutely loves meeting new people and hanging out, hearing their stories, and getting recommendations for local things to do or even (or even better) new music to listen to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived - and lived to tell the tale.

Teach, Learn, Share

We're both at a point right now where we want to just live - who knows how long we'll be around for; how long we'll be two healthy humans. I hope that we can inspire people in whatever way, and to be inspired in any sort of capacity.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We both like telling stories, listening to them as well. We both love music and can blabber on about it for hours. We can also help around the house if you'd like. Daniel is pretty good with his hands, and I'm pretty good with my words so he can build, and I can write.

We both also can do any sort of photography for you if necessary! Photos of you, your space, let us know and we'd be happy to do it!
