About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To vist as much as the eastern hemisphere as time and money will allow!

ABOUT ME
After living in Japan for four years, I went back to school for my masters. Now, I am going to be working for the Marine Corps Civilian services in Hawaii!

PHILOSOPHY

My favorite quote (though slighly paraphrased)
"Those who hear not the music think the dancers mad"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had the pleasure of hosting once, and I look forward to hosting more people in the future. I have a couple of friends in the area who also host, and I have met some great people through them.

I haven't couch surfed yet, but I hope to on my next big travel.

Interests

Drawing, discovering new music, learning to play various instruments. Lately, I've taken up crafting to decorate my apartment. More recently, I've started taken karate lessons at a very small, local dojo. It's a great way for me to exercise and get out of the house to meet the locals.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big book worm. Sadly, I don't have a lot of physical copies of books for my library now; sending them from over seas is too expensive. I finally broke down and bought a Kindle, and it was one of the best purchases I've made in a while. I have free access to all things classical literature (great for any English major), as well as a fairly cheap and instant way to find new books.

I'm also really open to movies (except for "chick flics"). Some of my favorite movies include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lady Vengeance, and Oldboy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to visit a Buddhist temple, deep within the mountains of northern Japan. He gave me a tour and a good luck talisman.

In Thailand, I spent the new years with the locals, who greating me with food, music, and great hospitality.

Countries I’ve Visited

Japan, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
