Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

by being nice with people around me : I like to make people happy (as far as I can, I have no magical power).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

not via this web site but we slept already on plenty of friends couch, but probably that doesn't count here ;)
We also both lived in colocation and happen to sleep in youth hostel in dorm so we are familiar with life in community :)

Interests

I go to fitness centre (not the sport I prefer but the only that was compatible with my schedule..), and Arno does soccer. And to relax afterwards we have a drink with friends, organise future week end to see other friends..and rest to recover from time to time :-) During those resting periods, we love going to the cinema, or just watching a movie/read a book hile listening to music.
Also learn Spanish on our own (far from being fluent at the moment !) to prepare futur trip in South America

Books : read a lot but no special title come to my mind at the moment except for the "lonely planet", our bible for the last 3 months ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The nicest and most recent thing is trekking in Nepal, for 10 days : stunning views on the Annapurna, meeting other trekkers, all with the same target = reaching the top, that was just great.

In a completely different style, we really loved the moment we shared with chinese people 1 week ago in Jianshui ; whereas we barely know 20 words of chinese, we spend 3 hours eating, drinking and speaking (thanks to the basic vocabulary in our guide book) with 8 chinese, among which children that have shown us their language book. That was such a nice moment !

Teach, Learn, Share

Not really sure about special teaching skills I have :)
Anyway, I can show you how to cook some simple and tasty french dish ; quiche lorraine, crepes...
And for sure we can share about our culture, travels, music, cinema, work... plenty of topics

If possible, I would also be curious to learn from you how it is to really live in the city I am visiting, more than just seeing it the touristic way.
