Über mich
We both grew up on the west coast of Newfoundland in the small community of Stephenville. After moving to the capital city, St. John's for University we decided to stay. We're an outdoorsy couple who spends the majority of time with our little yorkies, Poppy and Rose.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
We're hoping by opening our doors to other people like us, some kind souls might do the same when we travel. We want to host travelers so everyone can experience the wonderfully unique and beautiful island that we call home. Newfoundland has so much to offer!
Steph - The idea of meeting locals and really experiencing what it's like to live in different countries is very exciting to me. I've done some local living pre-couchsurfing in Asia and had an amazing time.
Matt - I've always said that Newfoundlanders are a little sheltered from the rest of the world. Couch surfing allows me to experience different cultures and I welcome the learning experiences!!
Musik, Filme und Bücher
Steph:
I'm a big fan of indie folk rock and of course traditional Newfoundland music. We really don't watch much TV. If we do sit down to watch something, it's normally quick YouTube videos or documentaries.
Matt: I'll listen to nearly anything if it makes me tap my foot. Long time metal head however now I'm starting to change my tastes. Huge fan of traditional Newfoundland music. I'm a lover of audiobooks.
