I'm on couchsurfing because I like to meet people from other countries and learn more about their culture. Having the opportunity to hang out with locals, I think is the best way to engage with the culture. I want to stay and get to know as many locals as possible to have a great experience in the country I'm going to. Couchsurfing is the best way to get to know people, exchanging cultures, helping, and making friends.
