As of now, 4/8/2016, I am still a student at Western Michigan University. I'll receive my bachelor's in June with majors in Creative Writing and Spanish, and a minor in Philosophy. Not exactly a lottery winning diploma. Though I go to school on the west side of Michigan, I am originally from the east side. I spend most of my summers there working in several different manual labor fields, but primarily lawncare/landscape. On the weekends I usually head to the nearest state park, Stoney Creek, to play disc golf, volleyball, or other leisurely outdoor games, and to spend time with good people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I´m on couchsurfing because I love the concept. I think almost everyone shares a desire to travel, but without the necessary assets it can be very difficult. I support any program that makes this process easier and less expensive. Also, it is a great way to take advantage of the current "Age of Information". It has never been so simple to make connections around the world and potentially form friendships with fellow travelers and like-minded people. It is one of the few ways the internet has been utilized in its intended manner. That said, as soon as I have a place of my own, I plan to open my doors to fellow couchsurfers to do my part.
