About Me

Howdy! I believe life is about experiences so I try to indulge in a wide variety of new things. First and foremost would be traveling to a new place! I also recently picked up motorcycling and photography, two hobbies which I enjoy immensely so far. I enjoy connected with open-minded people that value discussion and disagreement. I work in education so I usually have some time to travel throughout the year, which is something I try to take advantage of as much as I can. I'm also really into learning new things that I can apply to life. I'm a history nerd, so anything and everything interests me. Just as happy to learn about 19th century international relations as I am to learn about the art deco movement. The more I learn the happier I am!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Throughout my travels to date, I've noticed that the best memories are often those involving people I've met while traveling. To connect with people and foster understanding between cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm all over the place with music, I like anything and everything. I'm definitely a hip hop head, but I like to appreciate all kinds of music, from disco to folk country. My favorite artist is Nas.

I read quite a bit of nonfiction. I love Walden and Meditations, but I also read fiction as well. Some fiction authors I like are Haruki Murakami, and Kurt Vonnegut.

I need to watch more movies... Ferris Bueller's Day off is an oldie but a goodie. Growing up in the Chicagoland area, this movie was very relevant to my coming of age.
