After couchsurfing in various places around Europe I now have an apartment in Berlin and would like to give something back to the community. I lost my job in London a few months back, fell in love with Berlin, and decided I wanted to live and start a new life here.

My name is Stephen. I have recently moved from London to Germany for the summer after losing my job and deciding to move out of my flat in Holloway. My thinking was to use my small bit of redundancy money to travel and experience new things rather than remain in London. I plan to move around, meet people, improve my German and see more of this beautiful country and it's surrounding neighbours. Due to the fact that I am travelling, I am unfortunately no longer unable to host. But should I find a city I love and get my own place, I will once again continue to do so.

A long time vegetarian who annoyingly doesn't like cheese. I wish I did but just don't. This sometimes make it hard to find food abroad unless I shop around, but then new foods can be discovered . (UPDATE - Germany is great for veggie food, much more selection even than the UK). I mind not what others eat. Everybody is on their own journey in life and free to make up their own minds as to what they do with and put into their bodies.

To see the world while meeting many interesting new people along the way. The sharing of culture, knowledge and experiences. I like helping people in anyway I can, in this case, providing people with somewhere to stay during their adventures.

Intereses

Taking photos, discovering new places and ideas. I also enjoy languages, different cultures, keeping in shape, dancing, what's going on in the world and just generally having a good time out and about meeting people from all over.

Música, películas y libros

Music: Lots really, but favourites include 60's pop, psyche & northern soul, punk, post-punk, drum+bass, liquid, various other electronic.

Movies: Way to many. Particularly like comedies and documentaries. Love TV shows such as South Park, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Alan Partridge, The Office, pretty much everything by Chris Lilley, Chris Morris and Charlie Brooker to name a few. Although, apart from Comedies and documentaries, I never watch any Television, unless I am at a friends place and have no choice in the matter.

Books: Non-fiction generally, although have read a few good stories.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I don't think it's my place to say what is amazing or not... but I reckon flying a plane and partaking in aerobatics would be a contender. Visiting Iceland was also a highpoint of my life. Such a breathtakingly beautiful country. If you ever get the chance to visit there, do it!
