Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Two summers ago I had the opportunity to spend 6 weeks backpacking across Europe. It was an amazing experience and I was blessed to meet some great people. During that time period, I was mostly staying in hostels where I met fellow travelers like myself. However, as I continue traveling now I'd like to experience new places from the locals' perspectives to help me get a better understanding of differing cultural views everywhere across the world - and I think couchsurfing is the perfect way to do that!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'll list two - Moving away from my family in California to Canada, and traveling in Europe by myself for a month and a half.

These experiences helped me get out of my comfort zone and realize that there is so much the world has to offer beyond the suburbs of where I grew up.

I love learning new languages and how cultures differ on views about life. I am always willing to engage in conversation about these topics and to share ideas with each other.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Chinese food, and then lots of beer afterwards to help you forget how bad my cooking is.
