ABOUT ME

I am an outgoing adventurous person shocked at how long it took to finally get set up on Couch Surfing. I enjoy exploring outdoors, eating new foods, and learning how people live throughout the world. I have now lived in 3 and fully expect that number to raise.

PHILOSOPHY

I live life to bring joy to as many people as I can and try to be an overall moral person. I figure if I am nice to people and respectful, most of the time it will be returned.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently am looking to surf and possibly hang out with current surfers. Unfortunately at this point in time I don't have a couch available but would like to eventually provide a place for travelers to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A friend told me about it while I was living in Mexico and it seems great!

I love food, mountains, the sea, the woods, meeting new people, learning new languages, listening to music, stereo equipment,dancing, snowboarding, skateboarding, and learning. I guess traveling includes most of that, right?

I absolutely love latin music and dancing to it. I also am a huge fan of smooth jazz, blues, and classical, but I am extremely opt to give any style of music a chance.

I have been fortunate. I have had the opportunity to travel much of the US. I see beauty in just about everywhere I go. West Virginia has the rolling hills, and the seasons. I love the green of the summer, the full array of warm colors in the fall, and the snow covered hillsides of the winter. Though, it does not get all the beautiful aspects the world can provide. I love Colorado. The land is more rugged and the snowboarding is great! I also am a huge fan of the food and the open culture.

Before the university I was highly considering being a chef. For this reason I decided to go to Italy and visit Florence, Rome, Assisi, Capri, and Pompeii to study cooking on a small 10 day trip. I am fully aware there is much more to see but the architecture from anything from the houses to the old buildings is something to be noted. Truly a sight to be seen! The food of course is also to be tried!

I spent a year in Guanajuato Mexico which gave me a huge respect for everything I have in the US but also gave me the true perspective that everywhere has something to offer. Guanajuato is without a doubt my favorite place I have had the liberty to visit in Mexico, not to say other parts are not amazing, the atmosphere just fit my personality. I enjoy to dance, I enjoy the open culture, and I put hot sauce on my chips. The mountains are beautiful and with the city in the background I cannot recall a prettier sunset. The beaches in Riviera Maya, Mexico are blue, clean, and really unlike much of the water I have seen in the past. I highly recommend it.

While in the university I took a trip to Poland for what would have been my Spring Break to learn about the transition of the Polish Economy from a planned socialist economy (Soviet Russia)to a more capitalist state. The people were excellent! They were friendly, and the street they prepared was outstanding.

I know a fair amount about vintage stereo equipment as well as dancing. If you want to hear about it, I can easily talk your ear off!
