CURRENT MISSION

I cook, clean, do dishes, laundry and whatever else you need help with!

I'm in grad school studying to become a physician assistant. There is a national conference for PA's in SF in May and I'm planning to come! The conference is from May 23-27 and I would like to see SF beforehand and even go to Bay to Breakers on the 17th. I'm needing to buy my plane ticket just as soon as I find some reliable couchsurfers willing to let me crash. I know that two weeks is a long time to ask for, so I'll be grateful for any amount of time you can offer. Total trip is from May 15 through May 28 and I'm hoping to split the trip up between no more than two places so that I'm not bouncing around too much and not overstaying my welcome.

ABOUT ME

I don't smoke, but it won't bother me if you do. I'm extremely clean, but extremely tolerant if you aren't :) I'm just going to be grateful to find a place to crash, so

PHILOSOPHY

When I go somewhere, I like to do things the way the people living there do them. If nights are noisy, I open the window and hear it. I walk down streets I probably shouldn't walk down. I eat the street food. No matter what though, I always say hello and smile to almost every stranger I walk past, just like we do it in Knoxville. I don't get too many smiles or words back, but it's something special about where I'm from and something I want to hold on to.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until now, I've used couchsurfing to surf couches and see new places. I've been lucky and made so many new life-long friends along the way. Pretty soon (JUNE!) I will have passed my boards and will finally have a place of my own with a couch in it especially for surfers so I can return the favor to anyone wanting to see the city I'm in. I don't know where I'll find a job, but I'll always have a couch from that day forward.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Got on a plane and went to Turkey for 6 weeks. Didn't tell anyone back home, just went for it. I didn't know any Turkish, just had my tiny Lonely Planet phrasebook. The trip was the best 6 weeks of my life. I navigated (barely) through Istanbul and met great people. Went running every morning through the Valens aquaducts and right along the Bosphorus, found my Uncle and family friends in Ankara, went to Sivas to see where my grandfather is from, saw Izmir, Cesme and Corum with more great new friends. Found out what Bayram was and got to spend it with a family I had just met. I'm just scratching the surface. I packed a lifetime of memories and made so many special friendships that I'll keep forever and learned more about myself and where my roots are.

Like I said before...I can cook! I can clean! I'll do your dishes, wash your laundry, walk your dogs, help you out with anything for a free place to crash! I won't need anyone to show me around or feel like they have to entertain me. I usually spend my entire days outside of the place seeing whatever new, strange city that I'm in. But of course, if you want to run around with me or want someone to do something with, I'm up for it. My main two goals are to be a part of Bay to Breakers and I'll be going to the AAPA conference May 23-27.
