ABOUT ME

I moved to NYC from South Dakota six years ago for school and haven't decided to leave, yet. I work in IT which affords me time to play around on the internet--yep at work right now.

I am a very curious person and enjoy random, useless trivia. I am still taking classes (my job pays for them so why not) and I really like learning new things. I usually get a daily reminder that I do not know as nearly much as I should.

I enjoy building, creating and crafting. I am very proud of my recessed bookcase behind my bar - I will likely point it out to you if you visit.

As you will see I am a movie fanatic and could talk about movies for hours.

I am a foodie but more because I enjoy consuming it than preparing it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I only recently became a bookworm now that I have to commute to work. Recent reads I have enjoyed include: The Hunger Games, Boomsday, Dune, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Pride and Prejudice, Worst Laid Plans, Assassination Vacation, M. Butterfly and Harry Potter. I am sort of all over the place with what I read, since I feel like I am making up for lost time.

I am a little bit of a movie nut according to my friends having rated over 2,000 movies on Netflix is unusually high. Some of my 5 starers are Shawshank Redemption, Labyrinth, What Dreams May Come, Seven, Fallen, Pan's Labyrinth, Super Troopers, Dogma, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Brave Little Toaster, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, The Secret of NIMH to name a few.

A few of my favorite TV shows include: Top Gear, MythBusters, The IT Crowd, Star Trek: TNG, Farscape, Daily Show and Dead Like Me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
