ABOUT ME

I consider myself to be a very easy-going, friendly person who is open to new experiences. I have a passion for history and enjoy visiting historic sites and locations. I also enjoy hiking, viewing classic paintings and reading classic literature.
I also have an unhealthy love of 80s films and those of John Carpenter in particular. So if you want to get-your-geek-on and discuss any of the above then I'm all ears.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Having nervously completed my first Couchsurfing trip around Austria in February 2014 I can confirm that everyone that hosted me was friendly, welcoming and easy-going. Good experiences all around.
It had whetted my appetite for more Couch Surfing experiences, and I've now been to several other countries via this medium and I have enjoyed each visit.
Having been busy since I first began, I haven't had much time to travel but I hope to change that very soon.

Intereses

As mentioned above, I like to visit new places, particularly those of historic interest and have a fondness of 80s films, be they cult, trash or blockbuster, I've probably seen it.

Música, películas y libros

I have quite an eclectic taste when it comes to music. It can range from D 'n' B to retro-electro to film scores to Holst.
I mentioned that I'm a sucker for cheesy 80s films.
There are too many books that I love to list.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I have had many good travelling experiences, but I suppose my first 'big trip' is the one which set the ball rolling, but also the one where I was most naive. I travelled through South Africa, Australia, Namibia and New Zealand. It was probably the "most amazing" experience I've had so far, purely for the fact that it was my first time venturing vast distances on my own. Since then, however, I have learned many hard lessons and have actually refined my travelling knowledge so that I can enjoy things to their maximum.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can offer good humour and an in-depth discussion about Arnold Schwarzenegger. This section also used to read 'the ability to drink a bottle of beer in 30 seconds', however, the embers of that misspent youth are slowly dying. These days I enjoy a good sherry at Christmas.
