About Me

ABOUT ME

I love to travel, and do so whenever I can, be it 3 months in South East Asia or 3 days-2 weeks somewhere in Europe. One of my favorite places in the world is Berlin, because the culture and the history is so rich and apparent, I never fail to have an amazing time whenever I visit. I like to think of myself as being very open-minded and eager to meet new people, hence my interest in couch surfing!

PHILOSOPHY

Be happy, know yourself, be good to others and others will be good to you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently not in a position to host, however I am open to meeting up with any travelers visiting the Manchester area, or where ever I may be! And showing them around and helping them to make the most of their time here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some really amazing people through couch surfing, who have been fun, caring and enhanced my traveling experience more than they can imagine!

Interests

I am interested in music and love to seek out live music venues when I travel, and try to go to gigs as much as I can afford to! I also have an appreciation for art and photography, although unfortunately can not profess any talent of my own for either! Most of all, I just love to see my friends and socialise as much as possible. Friends are the family you get to choose for yourself after all!

Music, Movies, and Books

A few Artists I enjoy listening to, The Doors, The Dead Weather, The Kills, Bat For Lashes, Toots and the Maytals, The Beatles, The Kinks, Talking Heads, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Specials, The Black Keys, BRMC, The Rolling Stones, Bon Iver, Kate Bush, Fleet Foxes, The Smiths, City & Colour, David Bowie, Creedence Clearwater Revival... I also like to indulge in a bit of 90's hip hop and RnB, always presents the circumstances for a fun night!

I don't read as much as I should, but when I do I like Oscar Wilde and George Orwell, to name a couple.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting the Killing Fields in Cambodia. It was a incredibly moving, shocking and humbling. It is important to learn the history of the world, in order to understand who we are and where we came from, and where we need to go from here.

Teach, Learn, Share

What knowledge or skills do I have to offer... Hmmm. Well I do love to tear up the dance floor on a night out, and what I lack in skill, I make up for in sheer enthusiasm, which always makes for a few laughs. How unaccomplished I sound... I also like to experiment with cooking and am currently trying to improve on my drawing skills. From the other side of the spectrum, I am very eager to learn. My biggest regret is not learning another language, and would be very open to learning the native tongue of any places I visit. I am also really eager to experience places that I visit from the perspective of people who live and love there.

Countries I’ve Visited
