I quit my full time job in July 2016 to pursue some long-term travel plans. I traveled for 2.5 months to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Thailand, and Myanmar. When I returned to the US, I was not ready to go back to a full time job, so I worked as a contractor for my former company.

I got the itch to travel again, so I began another trip on September 10, 2017. I started in Helsinki and have now traveled to St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Kurassaare, Parnu, Tartu, Riga, Vilnius, Minsk, Ukraine, Transnistria, Chisinau, Malta, and London. I am currently in Kraków, Poland. I try not to plan too much, because I love the beauty of spontaneity and gathering recommendations from travelers on the road.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I originally joined Couchsurfing back in the summer of 2011. I was doing an internship abroad in Dublin, Ireland, and took a couple of short trips to nearby cities when I wasn't working.

I haven't utilized Couchsurfing as much as I have wanted, but I hope to change that this time around. I would love to connect with like-minded travelers and make more friends :) So far on this trip, I have met a few people through Hangouts in Helsinki, Tartu, and Riga; and have surfed one night in Tartu.

兴趣

As strange as it sounds, I really like events. For work, my favorite part is seeing all the planning/hard work come together and making sure that everyone has a good experience. I have also attended several music festivals and I love the energy of it all.

I enjoy trying local cuisine in the cities that I visit and my favorite activity is just wandering around and seeing what I find!

I'm not picky about music & movies. I recently got into EDM and music festivals. And I enjoy comedy movies.

Listening skills :) I love hearing about others' stories, whether it's about travel, their past, why they're doing what they're doing, or where they're going, I want to hear it all! I love learning about others (and it's a good way to keep the attention off of myself).
