My name is Sterling Rose, a 23 year old student who just graduated from San Jose State University in May 2015. I grew up in Los Angeles, CA and am now aspiring to travel the world for the next 6 months with my roommate, Rob.

I am extremely outgoing and love to meet new people, see new things, try new food, and pretty much experience anything that I have yet to do. I also love sports, hiking, swimming, surfing, snowboarding, or anything outdoors. I love all types of music, but mainly old school hip-hop, rock, and all forms of EDM. Any type of live music is good with me also.

I am a very responsible and considerate to all. I love life and want to experience all it has to offer. I have a very fun and humorous side to me as well. I love to joke around and have a good time. A beer or glass of wine always helps haha.

Over the past year, my roommate and myself have been saving every penny. We have worked 6-7 days a week for the past 12 months trying to save as much as possible for this 6 month trip throughout Europe, Asia, South East Asia and Australia. We are on a pretty strict budget, financing everything ourselves we want to last as long as possible without returning home early because of low funds.

I have also done a lot of research about AirBnB and Couchsurfing and it seems to me this is the best way you to experience the culture every country has to offer first hand. I want to able to experience the way locals live and really enjoy my journey to the fullest. I have read the hosts are extremely friendly and outgoing people, which fits perfectly with my personality and goals of my trip. I want to make friends all over the world and I feel like Couchsurfing is the best way to do so.

One of my most exhilarating adrenaline rush experiences was when I went Sky Diving over Santa Barbara, CA. Insane and incredible, can't wait to do it again.

Besides that, for past year I have been volunteering at Loaves & Fishes, a non-profit organization who takes food donations and feed the poor every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We cook, serve and clean up. It started as a class requirement, but I made great friends and still continue to do so at least once a week, mostly twice a week.

I can tell you all about the West Coast of the United States, I have travelled all along the area many times. I want to learn as much as possible about traveling and experiences. This will be my first time traveling to these parts of the world, but will certainly not be my last.
