About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Figuring out what I'll do next... that's pretty much always my mission, since I never know what turn my life might take :-)

ABOUT ME

To keep it short, I'm a open and friendly person I'd say :-) It takes some effort so get on my nerves and I love and enjoy my live.

PHILOSOPHY

If you meet someone without a smile, just give him one of yours.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In general I prefer to have either stay or host for at least 2 nights. It's just that I like to actually get to know the people. How am I supposed to be able to listen to their stories and learn from them, if I have barly time to talk to them?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have much experience in couchsurfing. But as far as I can tell, I love it. It's a great thing and I'm glad that I can be part of it.

Interests

Well, I love traveling. I've spent one year in Canada and another in New Zealand. I've seen bits and parts of Europe and spent a couple of month in Australia.
Besides that, well, I love meeting people, listening to their story and getting new ideas for myself.
And I love climbing. I'm doing it since about a year and I'm really just loving it :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Ah, well, since I like reading in general, there are to many books to list. Right now I'm reading Game of Thrones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As I was travelling through NZ with some friends, we decided that we didn't want to sleep in Hostels but stop at farms instead and ask if we could stay over night in exchange of work the next morning.
We've been doing that for a couple of weeks and it worked pretty good, when we stoped at a rather small but cute little house. We knocked and this really old lady opened the door. We asked if we could stay and without hesitation she said "of course". She and her husband lived there and we dicovered that the fields around the house didn't belong to them. The amazing thing about those two people was that they took us in right away. Their trust in us and with that in people in general, since they didn't know us at all, was stunning.
I'll never forget how she said "of course"...
