ABOUT ME
I'm a musician and physics graduate working for a science publisher in Bristol, where I've lived for 6 years. I like meals, noises, outdoor pursuits, and getting lots of sleep.

Music, Movies, and Books
lots and lots. novels of the jazz age and the depression. kurt vonnegut, cormac mccarthy, john steinbeck, tove jansson.
music: a lot of my friend's bands; also sufjan stevens, tindersticks, smog, tenniscoats, thanksgiving, jeffrey lewis, robert wyatt, trad jazz/ragtime, mingus, etc etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As far as awestruck encounters with the natural world go, probably watching the endless prairie slip by at sunset from the window of the Amtrak out of Chicago. I swam in the Baltic recently, that was a good time. Other than that, I tend to take pleasure from the more mundane joys in life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Mostly cooking. Or baking. Or tediously answering basic physics questions.
