Cycle up the East Coast of the US and visit every National Park (May be a couple of detours in land but 3 down)

ABOUT ME

II'm a 33 year old guy with a bike! I'm currently taking some time off work to Cycle in America. Just trying to figure out my next career move so thought riding 3000 miles would help! Not sure there is much else to say! I'm a pretty uncomplicated person really :-)

PHILOSOPHY

"Just Do More" - I have spent so many years thinking about how people do amazing things. I have done some amazing things myself but until last year I thought it was chance that made these things happen. It sounds silly when I type it but you just have to DO something. It doesn't matter how many roadblocks there are it is a choice to do what you want and it may take a long tim but it will happen if you have passion and the will!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been both a surfer and a host and joined meet ups whilst on the road too. I really enjoy both surfing and hosting because to me they are just opportunities to meet new people from other place or even from your own place! It's amazing how just letting new people into your life can change it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since discovering couchsurfing & embarking on our travels around the world I have surfed lots of couches! I have surfed in USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia and all the experiences have been amazing. It is funny how the stories I still tell now are not about the beautiful vista I saw at a national park but the time I spent meeting people whilst couch surfing. I have also met up with lots of fellow surfers in various places around the world! Did Chinese New Year 2010 in Beijing at a couch surfing meet up! It was amazing! It has made such a difference to my travels and its definitely the way we'll travel from now on even if it is just meeting hosts for a beer or coffee whilst you are in town.

I'm a huge craft beer fan! Started whilst traveling in the USA in 2009 and carried on when I got back home! If I'm riding to your place or meeting you on my bike you will see me sporting my Dark start Brewing Co Bib shorts from my favourite brewery in Sussex UK!
I'm a keen Triathlete and now Cyclist as I'm on a trip up the east coast of the USA taking in all the national parks I can get my hands on.
If you like hanging out and chatting about ever subject under the sun then we will get on as I believe that you can learn from everyone and always the most from the most unsuspecting people.

MUSIC: Long time fan of Bonjovi! Love to smash out some air guitar to living on a pray! Mumford and Sons are a current favourite but the iPhone is loaded to the extreme but to list few: The Ramones, Arctic Monkeys, Faithless, Goo Goo Dolls, Kings of Leon, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Newton Faulkner, Sigur Ros..... The list could go on forever. My favourite is live music! I will listen to everything live as I am always in awe of anyone who has taken the time to learn an instrument and then has the confidence and passion to play to for other people
I have been trying badly to learn the guitar for about 10 years! I will get there one day! Just need to play it till my fingers bleed :-)
Movies: I'm not very well educated in the classics so I will probably say anything by Michael Bay!!! Please don't judge! I'm trying to get some of the classics on my watch list so I started with Close Encounters of a 3rd Kind and loved it! Feel free to educate me further if we meet up!

One amazing thing is tough to pick but if I have to it would be working on the Beijing Olympics in 2008! It made me Olympics made and I can;t wait for RIO in a few months time :-)

Although I'm expecting this section may change after my cycle tour up the east coast of the USA!!!

As my trade is IT unless you need something fixing then the teaching is probably on the limited side! Happy to share any knowledge I have on traveling, beer, wine and food with anyone!
I have only just started riding but happy to work on bikes together if you need one fixing up I will have a go :-)

In a word Cooking! I love to cook! Oh and Eat! I love to spend time putting together anything from a Pizza ( I used to run a pizza shop so you may see dough do flying across your kitchen!!) to a 15 dish tapas if we have the time and you can handle me using every pot you own!!
