Seattle born and raised, a software developer at a Microsoft vendor company, but I've gotten the travel bug! I'm into exploring and traveling, and finally just went on a 4 month trip around Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Trying new things is my thing, any new kind of adventure sport I'm into. Makes it hard in Seattle winters, but I get by!

I recently went on a 4 month trip around Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and, although I didn't stay with anyone on couchsurfing, I heard a lot about it from other travelers and really liked the idea of it, so I figure why not dampen some of the "back at home" depression with entertaining some fellow backpackers?

Anything to do with water. Whether that's looking at it (waterfalls, oceans, lakes), being on it (boating, sailing etc.) or playing in it (wake-boarding, tubing, kitesurfing, surfing, swimming etc.) - I'm in for it all. I don't think I could live in a city not close to the water.

I do however, venture inland. Hiking, snowboarding, mountain biking.

Most everything, but tend to gravitate towards Indie/Electronic. Anything with a good beat, but not too heavy/repetitive.

Things are the most fun when you run into them randomly, or find them yourself - tours are overrated. I've been on a couple "walks" that turned into hikes that rewarded you with amazing views. I've been on some small hikes that turned into caving and found some glow worms by ourselves!

Saying "no" to something outside of your comfort zone is a natural instinct I live to resist.
