About Me
I love to travel, meditate, write, laugh, dance, party, read, think, work (physical labor), skateboard, and be in groups of friend.
(my philosophy and purpose statement)
I'm an ecoromantic. I'm curious about this world, and I strive to make adventures in it.
Work is my purpose. My family has always been ambitious, innovative, and hard-working. The ambition of my father pumps the blood of my youth. In the past six years, I've had many diverse jobs: cashier at a skatepark, mechanic at Valvoline, barista at Starbucks, editor-in-chief of a local newspaper, project manager of a haunted house, youth leader at a skatepark ministry, content manager for a small branding firm, and (now) working on various farms around the world.
Writing is my art, my passion, my lifestyle. I've been a writer for seven years. Well, I've written all my life, but seven years ago I started taking writing serious, started discovering my style. Now, whether I write poetry, blog articles, essays, emails, stories, or even text messages, I love to write.
Friends are my responsibility. I am an extrovert. I am definitely a thinker, a writer, and a meditator. But I love being around people. Sometimes I don't know what to say. And that's okay. I just enjoy being around people.
Learning is my life. I graduated LaGrange College with a Bachelor of Art in Religion/Philosophy and a Bachelor in English, having read every book, participated in every leadership opportunity, and made as many friends as possible. I love to learn. Books are my diet, and I devour whatever one puts on my plate.
Nature is my guiding spirit. As I grew up, my liking for Nature transformed into a passion for sustainable living. So, first and foremost, I'm an ecoromantic, a traveler who is curious about the environment and has a passion for preserving it. I enjoy a challenging hike, or a contemplative walk outside.
Skateboarding is my sport. I didn't like conventional sports, partly because I wasn't good at them, and partly because they took away the fun of being outside. So I started skateboarding. That was ten years ago, and I still skateboard to this day.
Teaching is my passion. I can't help it, really. It's why I exist: I'm a teacher, a preacher, a student helping students.
