Just a super tall guy bumping his head into things all around Japan. When I'm not spending time with the people I care about, I like night-driving with the windows down, reading in bed, furiously typing short fiction, and wandering about.

I've met Couchsurfers lots of times, but have yet to host or be hosted. I'd love to change that!

Stories, stories, stories. If it has a world I can immerse in, characters I can love, and a plot that refuses to let me go, then I'm happy as can be. Outside, I like to explore, hike, camp, and pop my head into random shops.

This changes several times in a day, but right now I'm listening to a lot of Wilco and Passion Pit; reading Game of Thrones and Hemingway; and revisiting the Golden Age of Hollywood with old 1940s classics.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

My last couple years have been jam-packed with amazing things I always dreamed of doing. One that sticks out is sitting in the sunlit snow on top of a mountain in Hokkaido, looking over the towns and roads and forests spread for miles around. Giving an impromptu Backstreet Boys concert with two other guys during a late-night Tokyo karaoke session is a close second.

I love playing guitar with new people, especially learning new things and singing together loudly. I'll talk literature and media until someone makes me stop. I really enjoy recommending movies, shows, books, and games (and having them recommended to me!). As for practical skills, I can help you with your car or computer if you cook me something.
