ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Steve, a currently grounded wanderer with a passion for conveying the importance of the natural world and an interest in the value altered states can play in our personal and collective development. I'm hoping to gain as much wisdom as I can from inspiring places and inspiring others in the hope I can better help others in turn.

I love learning about the travels of others and to swap stories, experiences and to get more insight into other cultures and have found CS to be a good way to do this.

The sense of trust and community CS provides is a brilliant thing and really lets you see the redeeming sides of human nature :).

Interessen

Whether at work or play outdoors, I'm happy.

Though I love festival culture and a good rave, as an introvert at heart I'm finding myself more at galleries and museums these days. Any recommendations are always welcome :)

Previously I enjoyed volunteering on environmental conservation projects, cycling, hiking and have done a few years caving in the past.

I have an interest in wild foods and foraging have it on good word that I'm a decent cook. I'm into learning about Permaculture, woodland management and greenwood crafts.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Musically I enjoy psybient, psybreaks, psychedelic rock, post-rock, some folk, most heavy genres, spoken word poetry and world music. I seem to enjoy most things a bit niche.

I like to read books on psychedelic culture, travel and adventure stories, psychology, philosophy and science fiction.

There are too many great films to mention, but I love good human condition stories, films about travel and adventure, comedy, sci-fi and activist films. My all-time faves are Solaris and 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Lived for approx a year on a bicycle cycling around the UK, foraging some of what I ate while volunteering with ecological/charitable causes and at music festivals.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I previously organised events for the Psychdedelic Society of Hebden Bridge related to harm reduction advice and creating a community around the self-development process that can be catalysed with or without the aid of psychedelic agents.

I know my way around bicycles well and am happy to pass on maintenance skills or try to fix any problems.

I'm happy to teach various bits about wild food/foraging and can share some knowledge on what can be found local to where I live. We might even be able to cook something we forage together :)

I enjoy good films, poetry, art and music and can swap recommendations based on what I think you might enjoy.

A warm welcome, tales from the road, and a willing chef, advice on things outdoorsy.

Depending on work commitments I'd be more than happy to show you around whatever local area and to hear all about your story.

I'm told I offer wise advice and am skilled at signposting others towards the books/people/places that may serve the next step of their personal journey.

The house has a washing machine, wi-fi and all that sort of thing for you to recharge actual and mental batteries with.
