About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel at least two times a year; 1*4 weeks + 1*2 weeks + the extra
ABOUT ME
I am an easy-going guy, who likes to learn about languages and cultures from people of different nations. The truth is that I am kind of a culture nerd. I really enjoy studying and learning from people and to see how things can be done differently. Therefore, I really enjoy when people can teach me something. I do not mind being lectured...in fact, I enjoy it.
I am spending a lot of time working for a large Danish-based consultancy firm (COWI), where I am mostly working with European assignments related to the EU. I am doing research-like projects, where I collect data through interviews, surveys etc. I like it a lot and it is very interesting, as I meet a lot of different people from Europe in this way. At the same time it teaches me something about the social reality that I am a part of.
I have studied in France and Poland and that has impacted my outlook quite a lot. Nevertheless, I am a true Dane in mind and spirit. This means that I am probably not the first to start off a conversation and probably not the one you get to hug or stand very close to (less than 60 cm),... unless you meet me in a crowded bus of course... However, I am very talkative when you get to know me and I love to show and tell stories about my country and Copenhagen. If you are not bored by history, philosophy, linguistics and sociology, you will enjoy a stroll with me in Copenhagen.
When I travel, I read carefully the history sections in the guidebook about the place I am going to. I hate to miss out on important insights and I love to discover and make sense in a much confusing world.
PHILOSOPHY
I want to live forever; to be remembered. That can happen in two ways: Either I will have some children, who will remember me, or I will do something truly great, so that humanity will forever remember my existence.
I have not secured my legacy so far in any way just mentioned, but still I feel that everything is going pretty smooth. So, I guess I am not totally off track...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I immediately applied for a verification so that I can be integrated into the community. I did that because I think it is important to support initiatives like this, no matter how much I might finally participate or benefit. Some people have been creative and used a lot of their time on building this forum, and that it honorable in itself. I enjoy private initiatives like this and I am willing to support financially, if I believe in the idea.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
No previous experience. Totally 'wet behind the ear', as we say in Danish.
Interests
My interests are politics, history, culture (broadly speaking), philosophy and languages.
My business is really on my mind too. So, software development, marketing, Big Data and a ton of other cool techy stuff has been my interested for the last year too.
I care of course a lot about traveling.
I enjoy creative activities such as cooking, painting, writing songs and poems, novels, short stories and political articles.
I have an entrepreneurial spirit and I am always thinking about a way to make my life better, more interesting or how to set up the new billion-euro business.

Music, Movies, and Books
where to start, where to end...
I read a lot of books and watch quite a lot of movies. I listen to all types of music. If you really push me, I will hesitate before replying that I like Depeche Mode and other synth rock bands. But I really have a very broad taste.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived and studied together with 100 Europeans in Poland for a year.
When I was 11, I went to India to stay with a bunch of kids in a camp for a month. The initiative was made possible by CISV, and it was a great experience. I lived with a hindu and muslim family during that stay, and that was really something!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Danish history or even some European history.
Moreover, I might add some points of the social sciences.
