ABOUT ME

An "ABC" (American born Chinese) male from Salt Lake City, Utah. I believe in having compassion for others and seeing the best people.

I am somewhat philosophical and I really enjoy learning and combining ideas, opinions and theories on various subjects in order to create an idea that makes sense to me and give me a better understanding of the universe. I am always searching to better myself as a human being and am constantly seeking to learn as much as I can to broaden my mind.

I recently graduated with my undergraduate degrees in December 2013. I am focused on trying to get my foot in the door with film and theatre and hope to work in both of those industries for the rest of my life. There is just something about the collaboration involved in making these productions that fascinate me. Being a part of the process and then being able to see it all come together in the finished product is an exciting experience for me. I hope to contribute to society by working in this industry and creating works that opens peoples eyes and hope that they will attain a similar thirst to learn more about the world in which they live in.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I am unable to host anyone unless I am well acquainted with the person. I currently live with my parents and because it is their home, I must accommodate to what they feel comfortable with. So, as long as I am staying with my parents, I hope by surfing and traveling the world and meeting others, I will be able to host them as they have done for me, in which my parents will gladly return a favor that someone has done for their son haha.

In the future when I have my own place, I will gladly host travelers who are willing to share their life and traveling experiences with me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no experience but am hoping to gain some on a trip that I have planned to Scotland and the UK.

I really enjoy sports and exercise. I have been learning various Chinese Martial arts from a good friend for the past 4 years; prior to that, I had studied Tae-Kwon-Do for 11 years. I also have a great interest in playing tennis and would be interested in becoming skilled enough to play competitively.

Enjoy music and hope to be able to master the piano and compose my own music sometime during my lifetime.

Most of all, I have a dream of traveling all over the world to experience living in different cultures and societies, getting to know people from all over the world.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have learned a Traditional internal style Chinese martial art from a former Shaolin Monk who was living on the countryside in Mainland China for 5 weeks. I have also learned martial arts from the head of the International Jing Wu Physical association-Taiwan.

Connected with the students of the former monk and martial art school as well as connecting with a few locals, in particular a local shop owner in China whom I bought ice cream and snacks from nearly every day during my 5 week stay in Dengfeng China.

I have been doing various martial arts for a long time and am always willing to teach anyone who is interested in learning. I have learned Taekwondo, Taichi, Wushu, Long Fist, various animal styles and weapons, and more.

I generally know my way around computers and even if I have no experience with a program, I usually figure out how to use them very quickly if anyone ever has trouble with some applications.

Once you get me talking about life, I probably won't shut up until you ask me to. I really enjoy sharing my own perspectives and experiences in life as well and always welcome criticism and am respectful to other people's opinions.

I would love to learn more about music and art, any practical or life skills, outdoor survival, business experiences, and the list infinitely goes on.
