I'm Stephen (or Stevie) - 22

Undergraduate student studying Primary Education (5-11) @ University of Brighton, So I spend my time in both the north and the south of the UK. Manchester and Brighton. As my studies suggest, I love working and studying hard as well as working with children and guiding them through their education, but I also have a wickedly fun side, where I try to explore socially and gain new experiences; another reason why I'm on here I suppose!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Many years ago I participated in two different cultural exchanges. To italy (Venice) and Romania (Arad) here I was taken out of my comfort zone and stayed with a family, I'd never met before. As daunting as this was - this soon became one of the greatest experiences of my life as it gave me the first hand opportunity to see and engage in different countries cultures. Both of these families are still great friends and are always welcome to visit me, and vise versa!

Couchsurfing to me gives a similar type of experience, maybe not as intense; but it provides you with a more meaningful way to experience new places, whilst meeting great people at the same time!

I've recently had my first experience and stayed with the most friendly person in Amsterdam! I was very lucky, cannot wait to meet more amazing people around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Devoted a summer in Hunter, Upstate New York working with children and adults with developmental disabilities; not only was this rewarding but a fantastic life experience which is relevant to my chosen career.
