About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To spread the Stevie love! (",)

ABOUT ME

I am a boy who enjoys getting about and seeing what the world has to offer!

I am a very friendly, open guy. Naturally a little shy but very outgoing among friends. I can happily spend time alone and enjoy my own company, but I also enjoy meeting new people and socialising. I do like to go out for drinks or a boogie if the music is right, but I'm no party monster so you don't see me out clubbing every night of the week! I love going out for coffee or good food, whether that's in a nice restaurant or sitting on a beach with some local snack.

Like everyone, I LOVE FOOD!!!!! Yum Yum!...but you might not think so when you see how thin I am! :-)
I am VEGAN, so I don't eat any animal products. I haven't found this a problem in most places I've been to - most countries have a few vegan dishes anyway - they just don't call them 'vegan' specially! My favourite foods are Vegetarian curries (Indian or Thai), Middle Eastern food - especially Hummus!!!! but also Tabouleh, cous cous etc, Italian food - Pizza (without the cheese!), pasta, olives.... but I am very open to trying new things, as long as they are not from animals.

I am not sporty enough at the moment, and I would like to do more - but I do like swimming and badminton. I walk a lot, and I can go for hours and hours without getting tired.

So far I haven't really 'settled down'! I like living in different places and everything that means - getting to know the city, making friends, exploring the area, feeling at home.

I have taught English abroad and in the UK on and off, which is very rewarding and has allowed me to live in some fantastic locations. Also my recent job in the travel industry has been great - not only helping people put together their ideal travel experiences, but also to do some great holidays myself! Bonus!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got into couchsurfing through other friends in London who said it was awesome.

I went on a big trip last year to South America and met up with some really cool people there. Now I'm back in the UK and living in a flat share in London. Unfortunately I don't have a couch available but I can definitely meet for a coffee and to walk around seeing the sights of this amazing city!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wonderful idea - it's so nice bringing together like-minded travellers.

Music, Movies, and Books

The directors I really love are Tim Burton and Guillermo Del Toro - their vision is incredible and what they really achieve is to realize their fantasies and share them with the world!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitting Sydney in 2002 and getting on one of the floats in the Sydney Mardi Gras Gay Pride parade! I helped design and decorate the float on a very tiny backpackers budget. The atmosphere in Sydney was electric - about half a million beautiful boys and girls, mothers and fathers, grannies and granddads, friends and visitors lined the streets. It was a blur of colour, music, sequins, laughter, warmth, love, acceptance, joy, alcohol, lycra....

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Cambodia, Cook Islands, Egypt, Gambia, India, Kenya, Malaysia, Morocco, New Zealand, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Afghanistan, France, Japan, United Kingdom, United States
