About Me

I live in Glasgow and lived around here for most of my life. I like to live life to the fullest, always make the most of every opportunity and rarely say no to anything - FOMO is real. I would love to meet similar people both on my own trips away, and also as a host at my place in Glasgow!

I like to travel whenever I have time, and enjoy city breaks, active holidays, hosteling, tourist trap holidays and resorts equally! Since I did my first overseas running event in Milan in 2019, I want to do some more races abroad, I have my eye on Impact Marathon Jordan and the North Korea Marathon!

I’m pretty relaxed and friendly, and would love to hang out with hosts or guests. If I have plans while you’re staying with me, you’re invited to join - I believe welcoming guests into my life is all part of the Couchsurfing experience!

I’m a foodie, and think the best memories and conversations are usually round a dinner table or in the pub!

I work in STEM education in a hybrid way since COVID, so I might be working at home while you’re there. But you can still make yourself at home if I’m there!

Please introduce yourself if messaging, I will reply but it’s nice to get a sense of who you are initially.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hosted guests from the USA and Chile through Human Hotel for COP26 in Glasgow. Hosting was a brilliant experience and I would like to do it again, meet new people, share my life and home with you, and have new experiences as a guest too!

Couchsurfing brings a bit of humanity and local experience to travel, opening up our homes involves trust and respect and is a great way to meet like minded people, even if it’s only for a few days!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to anything and love live music.

More into TV series than movies, like a good drama.

I mostly read non fiction or spirituality books, I save fiction for film and TV!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungee jumping was pretty cool, 6 summers working in the USA

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to be a primary school teacher and now work in STEM education, so I love to chat all things learning and STEM!

Love to chat about the big things in life, and new countries and cultures bring new perspectives.

I run all the time, so if you run let’s get our shoes on!

When I’m hosting, make yourself at home. All I ask is that guests tidy up after themselves.

If there are any trips or activities you want to do, I’m keen to join if available. And if I’m a guest with you, I’d love for you to join me too!

I go to Parkhead Nazarene Church, and if you’re open to going with me you’re welcome to! It does a lot of great things in the community.
