CURRENT MISSION

my current mission is to continue to fulfill my inate desire of being a martial artist, as well as growing food and teaching people about food. to unite warrior and farmer as one.

ABOUT ME

I aproach life with a certain joyous reverence. I love to cook, and everything else branches out from there. Gardening, because growing the food brings me closer to the meal. Community, because no one shuold eat alone. Sharing food is one of the simpler things that make us human beings.

Music makes my soul sing and I love to play music, and dance to it. The rhythm. That Rhythm that underlies everything.

My intimate relationship with the martial arts, stems from my belief of non-violence. Discipline is one treasue that I gain from my daily practice. It squares the roughness of myself so that I may fit more perfectly amongst my fellow men, and creatures.

I love to laugh, who doesn't? It is a bsic need for a long life.

I currently live as an Uchi Deshi. A traditional japanese role as a full time live in student. I practice Aikido, Jiu-jitsu, and, Kendo.

I have been an outdoorsman most of my life.
I know plenty about plants and trees. I have worked as an arborist for many years. Climbing trees. That is the best. I tell you, riding a tree at the very top in a wind storm is a feeling like nothing else.

Living closer to the Earth, and the mystery of ( ). That is the heart of it. I have been apart of a Lakota Sweat Lodge community for many years.. as well as AF&AM.

I can teach cooking, and gardening, as well as, martial skills for self preservation and growth. Always for non-violence.
