I'm a portrait and fine art photographer, based in Hackney Wick, East London. I've lived in Venezuela and France and travelled all over the world, including India, Hong Kong, Brazil, Venezuela, France, Spain, Portugal and many other countries. I love people, learning languages and about different cultures. I also play the guitar and piano and sing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm joining in the hope that I can find somewhere to stay for a few days in LA during my trip to the US to visit my brother, who lives in Utah. I'd really like to visit LA and do some shoots with my friends there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the blues, and blues-based rock. I started playing the guitar because of Slash, so I absolutely love his music, but my tastes are extremely eclectic, so it would be crazy to try and list everything here. My favourite book is Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh but I love all of his novels, and also those of P.G. Wodehouse. Pulp Fiction is the film that sparked my interest in filmmaking and I now frequently work as a photographer in films, shooting posters and stills.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think my photography is currently the thing I am most proud of. I shot a huge exhibition project with pretty much everyone from my community in East London. They were all shot naked in the local woods. The shots are absolutely beautiful and they really helped the subjects with their body confidence. This made me feel as though I was doing something worthwhile.

I'm always happy to share any knowledge I have - whether it's about photography, music, languages or just from my life experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be happy to do a photoshoot with my hosts, or to jam with them if they're musicians. I also enjoy cooking, and would be happy to make some English food for my hosts.
