About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn as much as I can, work hard, be a person of worth...

ABOUT ME

I moved a lot growing up, but consider North Carolina home. Graduated with an English degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and moved to Atlanta from NYC a few months ago.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in hard work, sticking to your principles, and being good to other people. All things happen for a reason so I tend to be pretty chill.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couch surfed out in Colorado for a few weeks my final semester in college. It was an amazing experience and one of the highlights of all of my travels. I'm always astounded by the generosity of hosts and their friends and try to reciprocate whenever possible. I'm a good cook, love music, books, and about anything else so I promise I'll be the very best guest I can be.

Interests

Sailing, fishing, skiing, being outside!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music... Trampled by Turtles, Avett Bros (especially if live at Red Rocks!), Shovels and Rope, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Old Crow Medicine Show

Love books too... Steinbeck's East of Eden is my favorite, with Hemingway's Garden of Eden and some of Faulkner's stuff coming in close behind. Also a massive fan of YC's Patagonia book, Let My People Go Surfing; I'm passionate about applying that type of philosophy to the business world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to teach sailing every summer at a YMCA sleepaway camp for girls. Watching a cabin of 14 year old girls grow up and gain confidence over the years has been pretty amazing.

Sailing through some nasty weather rolling off of a hurricane in Puerto Rico was pretty awesome (in hindsight) as well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Egypt, India, Ireland, Italy, Mauritius, South Africa, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom, United States
