The meaning of life is to give life a meaning.

ABOUT ME

I am still very curious to explore the small and big things in this world. I have been lucky that this has always been possible in combination with my study and my job. For example in my job I was an Area Manager for three years responsible for the Middle East where I could explore fascinating places like Iran, Pakistan or Libya (all the axis of evil states ;-). I grew up near Cologne Germany, studied in Kaiserslautern and Canada and then went back to Cologne to start my job. Later I lived several years in Stockholm before I started traveling long term. My main activity today is yoga and martial arts but life is always a mixture of activities like sports (esp. outdoor), traveling and social events like theater and parties in combination with relaxing diversion like reading or hanging out with friends and family. I like cooking but not for myself. So everybody is invited to cook with me!
I can be quite enthusiastic on the first contact with people but privately I'm more quiet and laid back.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I host or surf I want to have an experience and interaction with a person in a culture. I am open to all kind of activities: good conversations, art, literature, going out, sports activities, exploring, cooking etc. Just sleeping on a couch or someone that is just interested in sleeping on my couch is not my thing.
