About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am trying to enjoy the little things in life (cause maybe one day I'll look back and realize that they were the big things).
ABOUT ME
I've been around for a while, done some bad and good things.
PHILOSOPHY
“We're all going to die, all of us, what a circus! That alone should make us love each other but it doesn't. We are terrorized and flattened by trivialities, we are eaten up by nothing.” CH.B.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If I had known back then, I wouldn't have believed. CS has changed my life. Thanks to one person from CS I met a girl, moved out from my homeland and settled down.
Interests
Let me begin with sports even though, as you see the list above, I have more broad interests. I have been into sports since my father took me to my first basketball match in my hometown. I used to play basketball, football, volleyball, tennis and badminton. When I turned 30, I took up skiing.
Due to my knee injury I gave up playing all team sports and skiing.
Nowadays, I go jogging a couple of times a week. I am trying to master my swimming and I am about to start rowing on a machine. I love watching tennis.
I am a big movie buff and a few years ago I started watching Tv shows. I consider myself an expert on finding interesting and inspiring documentaries on YouTube.
When it comes to learning new things, I am passionate about discovering facts such as, how and when was introduced the shopping trolley to the customers; is there any other mammals except human beings which collect the bones of dead fellow members of the same species....
Music, Movies, and Books
As a former radio host and dj, I have a broad interest ranging from dm, pop, jazz, rock, ...to classical music. (Faithless, Groove Armada, Fatboy Slim, Roisin Murphy, Mau P., Groove Armada, Basement Jaxx, The Police, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Miles Davis, Marcus Miller, Billie Eilish, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Artic Monkeys, Sia, Chopin, ... and the list goes on and on...)
Movies: Fear and loathing in las Vegas, Big Lebowski, Smoke, Brooklyn Boogie, Requiem for a Dream and many many more that I can not recall atm
Books: Bukowski, Hunter S. Thompson, Kundera, Kerouac, Paul Aster, Kafka
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
O, yeah... there is one thing that I'm particularly proud of.
I've spent around 5 weeks of my life living in a little tent on a 7 meters high scaffold based on the parking lot of a big shopping mall. From there, I hosted my radio morning show and for the rest of the day, together with my fellow colleagues, we were collecting money for children diagnosed with diabetes and raising public awareness. We succeeded in collecting enough money to provide insulin treatment for several children.
