About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn & have fun and meet people while I'm doing it.

ABOUT ME

I used to study music, now I just love it instead. I want to speak too many languages. The future just looks expensive.

PHILOSOPHY

Other than "Have fun," I haven't really given it much thought. And really, "Have fun" has kept me going for many years at this point.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love it when I'm traveling and someone's able to help me out in any way, shape, or form. I also like being able to do that for other travelers. As soon as I have my own place again, there'll be another spot to crash.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed on a friend's couch for a little over a month before I came to Deutschland-- that was nice for getting accustomed to roommates again AND for saving money.

Interests

Travel, music, other languages... Too bad I'm poor & lazy... I also like fun and laughing. And Burning Man.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, too many to list of course, guess I'll just name a few.
Movies: 12 Monkeys was the first movie I bought on DVD. I also enjoy (too many) Kung Fu movies. Yeah, American Beauty and Fight Club. I thought the LotR trilogy was well done. And The Big Lebowski is a timeless classic.
Music: I'm kinda picky with music, but I've been able to find something that I like in every basic genre. Some favorites are Ween, XTC, Eyedea (& Abilities), Oingo Boingo, Pink Floyd, Sleep, Black Sabbath-- as I said before, too many to list.
Books: I've enjoyed everything I've read from Tom Robbins. And I used to be into Kerouac, Kesey, Salinger, and so on-- but since I became a real student again, I haven't had a lot of time for leisure reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Burning Man, but I do that every year... I dunno, what's amazing to me nowadays are the friends I have and (some of) the people I meet, as well as many of the opportunities I've had. I'm also pretty easily pleased-- some may not consider hiking around the Bastei "amazing," but the scenery is breathtaking AND it's not loaded with tourists.

Teach, Learn, Share

Um, want to improve your English? I'm certified to teach AND a native speaker.
I also know a bit about music and playing it--I can show you what I know, but I can't guarantee you'll learn from it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, France, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United States
