Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get to know people from around the world and do some traveling on the cheap.
ABOUT ME
Tucker (my small dog) and I enjoy hiking in our local parks and enjoying a simple life here in paradise (aka Wine Country.) I have little to offer other than a bit of hospitality and an inflatable mattress in my living room. If you need a place to crash for a night or two, I'm here!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is a gift and I do my best to enjoy it and to help others do the same. I am not a party person, preferring hills and streams to bright lights and loud music.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I signed up a few years ago and decided that my home was too humble for me to host. After hosting several guests who had no problems sleeping on an air mattress in my living room, I understand that some people are simply looking for a clean, friendly place to crash for a night or two.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My guests have all been fascinating and I view couchsurfing as a great way to meet people when I haven't the time or resources to travel myself.
Interests
Hiking (streets and trails,) good food, beautiful architecture, riding my recumbent tricycle, learning, doing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen? ...Mount Shasta, California, above the tree line, after a rain shower as the fog flowed into the valley in the shape of a silver dragon.
The most fun? White water rafting down the Youghiogheny River in Pennsylvania, USA
Done? Broken bones, crashed cars, had kids, been homeless and well off. I've lived life to the best of my ability and at 63, I'm looking forward, not back. I have a lot to do before I die.
Teach, Learn, Share
Windsor, is called "the Gateway to Wine Country" with beaches, redwoods and mountains all within an hour's drive. Some of the world's best wineries and restaurants are in Sonoma County and there are wine tasting rooms and fine restaurants within walking distance of my home. I prefer nature to nightlife but if you will be coming in late, I'll leave the door unlocked and not wait up. :-) Also, I'm familiar with all the local public transportation options and some of the most beautiful hikes, drives and bike rides.
